Benefits for resort guests

You know, there’s more to staying as a guest on Disney property than you might expect. You’ll find a wide variety of accommodations at the Disney resorts, from the affordable basics to over-the-top luxury.

Are you arriving by plane? Disney’s Magical Express will whisk you from the airport to your hotel in minutes.

But no matter where you stay on Disney property you get special perks that are yours only with your Disney room keycard [UPDATE: Your room may also be accessed with your MagicBand.].  This is your “Key to the World.” All charges, meals and purchases inside the park can be made with this card.

When you stay at a Disney resort or hotel, you never know who might show up! Some hotel restaurants host character dining.  You and your kids can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with your favorite Disney characters.

As a Disney resort guest, you can book priority seating at some of Disney’s fine-dining restaurants – up to 180 days before your vacation begins!

Once you’re on property, getting around is fast and easy. Special resort monorails, buses and boats pick you up right at your hotel and drop you off at the park of your choice. When you’re ready to leave, just hop back on and travel in style.

Disney’s on-property guests enjoy special Extra Magic Hours. That means you may be able to enter the parks an hour early or stay hours later than regular ticket-holders. Extra Magic Hours vary from day to day so check at your hotel.

When you’re ready for a little “we” time, check out one of the supervised children’s programs available at some Disney resorts. These themed centers are designed for children aged 3 to 12. For babies and toddlers, in-room babysitting is available. Ask your concierge for more information.

You’re sure to find the perfect souvenir or one-of-a-kind gift at one of Disney’s many shops. Whether you’re shopping in the parks or at Downtown Disney [UPDATE: This newly renovated destination has been renamed Disney Springs.] you can have your purchases delivered direct to your hotel room with complimentary package delivery.

Points to keep in mind:

  • Parking at your Disney resort is complimentary.
  • Guests are eligible to purchase a Disney Dining Plan.
  • Get preferred tee times at any of Walt Disney World’s championship golf courses.

Thanks for the great tips! We always book on Disney property – too many reasons not to. We have a car on our trips (either a rental after flying or we’ve driven down) and it’s nice to avoid the parking fee when going to the parks.
